Torquay United have confirmed the double loan signing of two highly rated Plymouth Argyle prospects, winger Tegan Finn and midfielder Caleb Roberts.
Finn, 18, joins on a one-month deal, while Roberts, 20, will stay at Plainmoor until January.
Plymouth-born Finn made his first appearance for his hometown club as a 16-year-old in the Pilgrims' Championship match at Leeds United in November 2024. He has since been a regular member of Argyle's first-team squad, making 25 appearances and scoring 3 goals.
Described as a "prolific wide attacker" by his parent club, Finn adds a new dimension to United boss Jimmy Ball's options on the flanks, following the recent signings of fellow attackers Jacob Beaumont-Clark and Angelo Cappello.
Roberts made his first outing for Plymouth nearly five years ago, having burst onto the scene just nine days after his 16th birthday, when he helped Argyle secure a penalty shoot-out win over Arsenal U21s in the EFL Trophy in November 2021.
Since then, Roberts has amassed 30 appearances for his parent club, scoring 1 goal, while also enjoying a successful loan spell at Truro City last season, where the central midfielder made seven National League outings before being recalled to Home Park.
With both players already holding significant senior experience at Championship and League One level, their arrival is set to further excite the Yellow, as United look to follow up Saturday's success over Folkestone with another positive result at Maidenhead tomorrow evening.
TUFC would like to thank Plymouth Argyle FC for their assistance in facilitating both deals.
Welcome aboard, Finn and Caleb!
With both players available for selection for United's trip to York Road on Tuesday evening, why not join us in Boots & Laces, and watch the full match on the BIG screen, right here at Plainmoor?
