Real Betis kept its flying start to the Spanish league season going with a 1-0 victory over Getafe on Thursday.
Abde Ezzalzouli scored just before half-time after a video review confirmed he had not handled the ball in the build-up. He finished a low shot from the centre of the box following a cross from Troy Parrott.
Parrott nearly scored with a long-range effort from midfield. Getafe goalkeeper David Soria was busy throughout and pushed Antony's low shot onto the post.
Getafe's Mario Martin was sent off late on after picking up a second yellow card.
The win moved Betis level on 15 points with second-placed Real Madrid. Barcelona lead the standings with 18 points.
Later on Thursday, Malaga face Villarreal in La Liga.
In the Europa League, Bundesliga side Hoffenheim had 59% possession but OFI Crete won 2-0. Aitor Cantalapiedra finished a quick counter-attack to put the hosts 1-0 up in the first half, and substitute Georgios Kanellopoulos headed in the second late on.
In the other early match, Salzburg took all three points with a 1-0 win at Levski Sofia.
