Wolves' Carabao Cup tie with Everton and their Championship match against Portsmouth have been moved once more, following UEFA's release of the Champions League fixtures.
Last week, the cup tie at Everton was set for Wednesday 9th September, which pushed the Championship game against Portsmouth at Molineux back to Wednesday 16th September.
Over the weekend, however, UEFA scheduled Liverpool's Champions League match against Atletico Madrid for 9th September, even though Liverpool and Everton cannot both play at home on the same night.
EFL and UEFA officials met on Monday morning to discuss options, but UEFA would not reschedule because visiting supporters were already travelling overseas for the match. That forced the EFL games to be moved, much to the frustration of both clubs.
Both Wolves and Everton play on Sunday 6th September, so Tuesday 8th September was not an option. The cup tie now takes place on 16th September.
That in turn affects the Portsmouth fixture at Molineux, which will now be played on Tuesday 20th October at 7.45pm.
Tickets already bought for the Portsmouth game on 9th or 16th September will be valid for 20th October. Supporters who want a refund for either of the earlier dates can get one up to 48 hours before the rearranged match.
Tickets for the Everton cup tie on 9th September go on sale to away season ticket holders on Monday 1st September at 9am.
