The Temple men's soccer team fell to Columbia 1-0 at home on Tuesday night, conceding the winning goal in the final minutes. The Owls are now 0-5-2 overall and 0-1-0 in American Athletic Conference play, while Columbia improved to 3-1-1. It was the first of three straight home games for Temple.
In the opening half, Temple moved the ball well and tested Columbia goalkeeper Aris Taki from a variety of angles, but could not get a shot past him. Columbia also had chances early, but Temple goalkeeper Dylan Kaye denied every opportunity, and the teams went to halftime scoreless.
Columbia held more possession in the second half. With two minutes remaining, Jack McDaid scored with his right foot to give the Lions the victory.
