Joe Gomez is set to return to action in Liverpool's Carabao Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.
The defender has been out since picking up a muscle issue in the pre-season friendly against Sunderland in late July. Gomez returned to training with his teammates last week and is expected to be involved in the third round clash at Anfield.
"He is training with the team," head coach Andoni Iraola said on Monday. "I think he's going to be available for tomorrow and now it's a matter of deciding how much he can play and what is the best thing to do."
At his pre-match press conference, Iraola also gave an update on Conor Bradley's rehabilitation from a long-term knee injury.
"I think he is not close to training with the team," said the boss. "He's training alone but he has started touching the ball. Definitely I want him as quick as possible ready but it's a long-term injury. I think [Giovanni] Leoni is a little bit ahead of him and still it's going to take some time for Conor, yes."
